The International Astronomical Center (IAC) is a scientific official center based in Abu Dhabi. The center is dedicated to astronomical issues. There emerged a need for establishing IAC to be a reliable scientific reference for those who are interested in astronomical sciences (whether institutes or individuals), locally or internationally. Amongst its staff, there are experts and specialists in the field of astronomy with its varied fields. The nature of IAC’s international activities requires its members to be located in different countries in the world. For example, some of the major IAC activities are the Islamic Crescents Observation Project (ICOP) and the Satellite Reentry Watch Program (REW).
