The Royal Court, according to what the Higher Council of Judiciary has advised that yesterday Tuesday is to be the first of Thul Hejjah to this year. And that Wednesday March 15th 2000 would be the standing day in Arafa. Here's the text of the statement:
"We've received the following from the Higher Council of Judiciary: Thanks are made to Allah alone, and may peace & prayer be upon our profit Mohammed, his family, & his friends. As Thul Kea'dah for this year was 30 days, and as no proof has made to the Council that Thul Hejjah would start on Monday night, the 30th of Thul Kea'dah. The Council decides that Tuesday March 7th 2000 is the beginning of the new month (Thul Hejjah). And so, The Standing day on Arafa is to be Wednesday March 15th 2000."
