Mr. Mehrani said: "Many groups took measures on observing the crescent in Iran in the evening of April 2nd 2003. The present weather condition in Iran in early spring is definitely unstable. Most of the groups faced serious difficulties in the weather conditions. Those few who no difficulties with the weather did not have optic tools. I personally had difficulties with the weather and just could observe a beautiful sunset."
