According to the Universal Hejric Calendar (UHC), which is based on the calculated crescent visibility, the start of this month in the Eastern Region will be on Saturday 26 July 2025 and in the Western Region will be on Saturday 26 July 2025. Kindly notice that the UHC is a pre-calculated calendar, which adopts a certain criterion to start the new Hejric month. Your country/organization might adopt different criterion to start the new Hejric month. So it is highly advised to read the UHC website before giving any judgment.

- Results of seeing the crescent, and the first day of the month in different countries will be added here Inshalla as we receive the reports from ICOP's members. If you wish to be a member in ICOP, or to know more about it, kindly click here.

Most of the UK was partly cloudy with some clear skies in the South West region. Note that we have received a very late report of a binocular sighting from Selsey, Chichester (UK), but multiple witnesses are required to end the month on 29th (except for the start of Ramadan)."

2 . Time of observation: After sunset. Seen: ICOP member Mr. Juned Patel from Selsey City in Chichester State mentioned that the sky was clear, the atmospheric condition was hazy, the crescent was not sought by naked eye, the crescent was not sought by binocular, the crescent was seen by telescope, the crescent was seen by CCD Imaging
Mr. Juned Patel said: "On Friday, 25 July 2025, I felt confident that I would be able to sight the moon, but I was also anxious about the lower sky conditions. In the UK, the moon’s altitude at sunset was only +5.50°, and it would appear as a very thin crescent.

Three days earlier, I had left home to study clouds and atmospheric conditions directly, and my journey eventually brought me to Selsey, Chichester, UK. From there, I attempted to sight the crescent moon (Hilal) for Safar 1447.

The crescent was first observed at 21:13:30 with the help of an optical aid, and I was able to follow it uninterrupted for six minutes until it disappeared into dense conditions on the horizon at 21:19:30.

While I was observing, two adults (non-Muslims) were standing next to me on the beach. I invited the first person to look through the optical aid, and she was able to see the moon within seconds. When asked again, she could spot it immediately again. I then asked the second adult to try, but he could not see it. I took another look and noticed the moon was descending toward the horizon and dimming, but I let him try again. Unfortunately, he still couldn’t see it. I looked once more and watched the moon fading rapidly as it sank lower, disappearing completely before my eyes into the denser horizon. Overall, I saw it six times within those six minutes, and two out of three adults managed to view it.

Up until then, I had not attempted to take a picture with my DSLR camera without the telescope attached, as I was busy showing the moon to the others. But as soon as the crescent became invisible through the optical aid, I quickly switched to my DSLR, aligned it toward the telescope’s direction, did a quick calculation, and captured several images. Alhamdulillah, the crescent was found in many of those images after a bit of post-processing.

Earlier in the day, I had also captured the moon at 09:09:26 (UTC+0) with my astro camera during daylight.

In total, I spent three nights on the road and covered approximately 1100 km for this moon chase. At my observing location, the moon’s altitude at sunset was +5.48°. When I first saw it, it was at +3.31° and descended to +2.46° by the time it disappeared, giving me a viewing window of only +0.85°. Without precise focus and accurate calculations, I’m certain I would not have seen the moon. If the lower sky had been clear below +2.46°, I could have observed it for longer and shared the sight with more people nearby. But very happy to see it for 6 minutes and able to capture it with a DSLR.

After assessing the situation for the possibility of a sighting, I left for the town of Christiansburg, about 4 miles south, arriving at the new location at 8:32 pm. My first binocular sighting (7 x 50) was at 8:45 pm. Observing the moon, clouds, and potential clearing near the horizon, I decided to return to my original sighting location. My first naked-eye sighting occurred at 9:07 pm. The horns appeared roughly at the 2:00 and 6:30 o'clock positions (2:00, 4:00, 6:30). I remained at the site until the moon set behind distant mountains—apparent moonset at 9:21 pm and actual moonset at 9:27 pm."

In its faint glow lies a message of eternity — every beginning has an end, and every end holds a new beginning.
Though the crescent remains silent, it gently touches the soul, reminding us to bow humbly before the One who shapes time itself.
