When to Observe Shawwal Waxing (NEW) Crescent ?
The geocentric conjunction (Geocentric New Moon) will occur Inshalla on (Tuesday 06 August 2013) at 21:51 UT.
Sighting the new crescent on (Tuesday 06 August 2013) and (Wednesday 07 August 2013) is shown in the below graphs using the program Accurate Times by Mohammad Odeh according to Odeh criterion. Where:-
- It is impossible to see the crescent from the areas located under the red color. Because either the Moon on this day sets before the Sunset and/or the topocentric conjunction occurs after the Sunset.
- The crescent is expected to be seen by optical aid only from the areas located under the blue color.
- The crescent is expected to be seen by optical aid from the areas located under the magenta color. In these areas the crescent could be seen by naked eye if the atmospheric conditions are superb and the observer is experienced.
- The crescent is expected to be easily visible by naked eye from the areas located under the green color.
- The crescent cannot be seen from uncolored areas, even though the Moon sets in these locations after the Sunset and the topocentric conjunction occurs before the Sunset, but the Moon is not sufficiently illuminated in order to be seen as crescent even by optical aid.
- Kindly notice that the below graph shows the possibility of seeing the crescent from areas between 60 degrees north of Equator down to 60 degrees south of Equator.
Tuesday 06 August 2013

According to the Universal Hejric Calendar (UHC), which is based on the calculated crescent visibility, the start of this month in the Eastern Region will be on Thursday 08 August 2013 and in the Western Region will be on Thursday 08 August 2013. Kindly notice that the UHC is a pre-calculated calendar, which adopts a certain criterion to start the new Hejric month. Your country/organization might adopt different criterion to start the new Hejric month. So it is highly advised to read the UHC website before giving any judgment.
- Results of seeing the crescent, and the first day of the month in different countries will be added here Inshalla as we receive the reports from ICOP's members. If you wish to be a member in ICOP, or to know more about it, kindly click here.

So Hmgahngy and assistance with my good friend and Mr. Mohsen Fesharaki patience Asthlal Committee Head of the Armed Forces Geographical filters and cables necessary funds to purchase before the day was done.catch.
So I had to get off the telescope until the battery is charging. This time I decided to Stary Night software installed on the system's Ahmdkhany I like the crescent of Ramadan is once again in trouble, do not connect the cable to the telescope. Mr. Ghazi Mir Saeed to Rsdgah arrived about 12 pm and we decided to start working. First, the 3-star Elaine tried to steer the telescope Hndkntrlr. But Venus was not found in Fayndr. Again, we tried to find the theodolite Z. Again, this was not possible due to the high altitude. Ultimately, the only way to connect and navigate through the software we saw Stary Night. By following the instructions, but my brother Abraham, Mr. Ahmdkhany solve the problem of identifying outliers and finally telescope with a cry of joy and excitement was guided by the application. Telescope toward the sun and then we went to Venus sign. Elaine was an accurate telescope and saw a constant error of 0.5 degrees. Jupiter also found but could not move the tube to achieve the desired accuracy. Telescope again, this time with much more accurate GPS time was Elaine.
After setting the exact focus and similarities eyes went to the moon. In the meantime, Mr. Esfahanian Kebria Institute Qom were added to our collection. Mr. Ghazi Mir Saeed and some very minor Haj Esfahani Ahmdkhany's focus was different with my eyes. Mr. Ghazi Mir Saeed and then we went to the moon when I tried to pull the blanket over our heads to find crescent. I have the 2 inch polarized filter with variable dark, but the light still had to use the image was too much. I decided to try the glasses, the picture was much better. Finally, Mr. Ghazi Mir Saeed, who also used the purple glasses, tried to test this method.have seen the crescent. He is the Mr. Ahmdkhany at 17:30 and at 17:35 I saw the crescent. If we set the angle of the telescope at 9 o'clock hour, the crescent was about 4 to 6 hours. Of course I saw the crescent Mr. Ahmdkhany about 50 to 53 degrees. Esfahani Haj together with the eye 28 times and even their own telescope eyepiece 25mm eyepiece filter Plvsl with filtered gray could not see the crescent, but was not so sure. At 17:55, 18:10 and 18:15, two-time Mr. Mir Saeed again, I could see the crescent. And then they saw the crescent Haj Esfahanian about 18:30. It was read by Mr. Mir Saeed once at 18:45 and took Mr. Ahmdkhany.
I already had a telephone conversation with Staff Asthlal report. But what is most interesting to me is that when my conversation was interrupted by another call from headquarters Asthlal Mvhdnzhad Haj was taken. Even with Mr. Ahmdkhany no mention was made. However, this observation was important, and the staff was Asthlal expect more.

When to Observe Ramadan Waning (OLD) Crescent ?
The geocentric conjunction (Geocentric New Moon) will occur Inshalla on (Tuesday 06 August 2013) at 21:51 UT.
Sighting the OLD crescent on (Tuesday 06 August 2013) and on (Monday 05 August 2013) is shown in the below graphs using the program Accurate Times by Mohammad Odeh according to Odeh criterion. Where:-
- It is impossible to see the OLD crescent from the areas located under the red color. Because either the Moon on this day rises after the Sunrise and/or the topocentric conjunction occurs before the Sunrise.
- The crescent is expected to be seen by optical aid only from the areas located under the blue color.
- The crescent is expected to be seen by optical aid from the areas located under the magenta color.. In these areas the crescent could be seen by naked eye if the atmospheric conditions are superb and the observer is experienced.
- The crescent is expected to be easily visible by naked eye from the areas located under the green color.
- The crescent cannot be seen from uncolored areas, even though the Moon rises in these locations before the Sunrise and the topocentric conjunction occurs after the Sunrise, but the Moon is not sufficiently illuminated in order to be seen as crescent even by optical aid.
- Kindly notice that the below graph shows the possibility of seeing the crescent from areas between 60 degrees north of Equator down to 60 degrees south of Equator.

Eng. Martin Elsaesser said: "The weather was bad again this morning as night-time thunderstorms did not dissolve quickly enough to allow to search for the old crescent during morning twilight. Some hours after sunset the skies cleared and i used the imaging system for a last look at the crescent before conjunction. The crescent could be imaged easily around 10:00 (UT+2) at 8° elongation from the sun despite moving haze and other disturbances this near to the sun. I hope to catch it again tomorrow (after conjunction) and will also attempt visual observation.
Note from ICOP management: This crescent was not seen before sunrise. It was only seen at daytime."

Mr. Ali Siraji said: "Given the importance Sighting Rvzgahy Cheval emphasis Dear Mr. Rostami's important Sighting Rvzgahy Ramadan experience at the sight Rvzgahy Shawwal, it became an area suitable for recording both Crescent and handling multiple records were selected to.
After 2 days, the need to establish comprehensive facilities in the area are made available. The research on the foothills of the Alborz and all weather conditions we find that due to the passage of the front air from the northern most areas of weather that is most appropriate in the foothills of the Alborz. Because the moon passes through the southern part of the sky is located in the southern Alborz Log moon dust. With the options possible, including Mount Damavand before us, but to this point the only helicopter was possible to work sightings very difficult to build. So with my good friend Mr. Fesharaki planning efforts necessary to Dizin Heights did. He assisted with the coordination and organization of the armed forces of geography, transportation to the area with two theodolite provided. The Center for Astronomical Rey that the staff Asthlal Tehran, where the focus is, a telescope refracting 120 mm Sky voucher along with some accessories and a battery of 12 volts most of us did. Milad tower base and the headquarters of the astronomy club EQ6 and a 12-volt battery will give us and the occasional dinner Monday, Persian date Mordad 14 was dispatched to the area.
It is explained that due to insurance not the tool by Staff Asthlal, a telescope 16 inches Dobson owned Milad Tower, we did not. Energy Department to establish and provide for the needs of food and went consequences unfortunately we lacked the necessary funds.
After passing through the tortuous road to Dizin dawn arrived telecommunication masts. Unfortunately Asthlal headquarters for deployment in telecommunication masts had not done any coordination. Telecommunication mast with failing to reach harmony the way we did. Only someone who had this rig for our Asthlal Shawwal 1428 saw me knowing and my insistence that polarize telescope allowed Tools before Sunrise Installation Polar said. When checking the mast during a morning shift were to assist him in the area remained open despite legal arrangements to be undertaken. This coordinated by staff Asthlal Tehran Province took to the era lasted so during the day for children to be protected from the biting sun inside the tent heat endured.
The 3-star establishment and polarize telescope Elaine immediately went to the client and then we find the Nsr actually went wrong. Because we did not have cell telescope connection cable with Hndkntrlr've driven. Going back to the client decided to Mercury, Mars, the statesman-Jabbar, Aljvza relations, Dbran and Sirius get into the middle of the box to be notified of Elaine accuracy. Precision work was fantastic and all the objects came to the middle of the eye. Morning and the sun was on the horizon where the mountains with an altitude of 4200 meters was Bstk Klum and about 10 degrees above the horizon was closed. After months of waiting, while the mountain was long and went towards it. As the sun was high and the low side of Jupiter and Mars were in a matte gray filter would provide the best contrast. However, the crescent was not tried. We decided that the crescent photography and processing. During processing led to severe fatigue and not sleeping at night before I go to sleep in tents. I woke up at 9 am Mr. Ahmdkhany they were Sighting News. Mr. Fesharaki also immediately saw the crescent, but everything I've tried so tired and sleepy that my eyes could not see the crescent. Eye and 25 mm Plvsl several important Rvzgahy saw the crescent was remedial. Crescent until 9:30 three more times and each time the telescope was seen by Mr. Ahmdkhany be sleepy because I was not able to see the crescent. After another hour, the crescent was not seen and we do the rest of the observations, but we have started to give up a day Record Crescent. The kids barely saw Mars through a telescope. Clear skies would flood about 12 hours and are less robust and was eventually seen by observing Venus Rvzgahy Ramadan finished work.
It is explained that dear friend Mr. Ahmdkhany successful record in the crescent of Ramadan Rvzgahy angular separation were 8 and 55 minutes of arc. Given that I've been with them a few observations of my eyes because of Acuity years of experience and have excellent accuracy Asthlal.
The evening is also a documentary filmmaker from IRIB us were added to the night the recording and filming of our work and the sighting Rvzgahy Ramadan hopes of sighting the crescent Rvzgahy Cheval increased.
