When to Observe Jumadal Al-Aakherah Waxing (NEW) Crescent ?


The geocentric conjunction (Geocentric New Moon) will occur Inshalla on (Thursday 20 November 2025) at 06:47 UT.

Sighting the new crescent on (Thursday 20 November 2025) and (Friday 21 November 2025) is shown in the below graphs using the program Accurate Times by Mohammad Odeh according to Odeh criterion. Where:-

According to the Universal Hejric Calendar (UHC), which is based on the calculated crescent visibility, the start of this month in the Eastern Region will be on Saturday 22 November 2025 and in the Western Region will be on Friday 21 November 2025. Kindly notice that the UHC is a pre-calculated calendar, which adopts a certain criterion to start the new Hejric month. Your country/organization might adopt different criterion to start the new Hejric month. So it is highly advised to read the UHC website before giving any judgment.

Not Seen: ICOP member Mr. Amara GUERRAH from الرباح City in الوادي State mentioned that the sky was partly cloudy, the atmospheric condition was hazy, the crescent was not sought by naked eye, the crescent was not sought by binocular, the crescent was not sought by telescope, the crescent was not sought by CCD Imaging
Mr. Amara GUERRAH said: "بناءا على المعطيات الفلكية ,  لم نتحرى الهلال لغروبه قبل غروب الشمس "



Indonesia


1 . Time of observation: After sunset. Not Seen: ICOP member Mr. AR Sugeng Riyadi from Surakarta City in Central Java State mentioned that the sky was totally cloudy, the atmospheric condition was very hazy, the crescent was not seen by naked eye, the crescent was not seen by binocular, the crescent was not seen by telescope, the crescent was not sought by CCD Imaging
Mr. AR Sugeng Riyadi said: "The new crescent Jumadal Akhirah 1447 AH was not seen on Thursday, Nov 20, 2025 from Assalaam Observatory Indonesia, because the sky was totally cloudy."

Mr. Abdul-Aziz Anyang said: "The New Crescecnt was seen at in the Northern region of Ghana at three diferrent locations.  Only one area was able to capture the faint moon after our 29th day count for Jumadal Ula."



Indonesia

Mr. AR Sugeng Riyadi said: "The new crescent of Jumadal Akhirah 1447 AH was not sighted on Friday, Nop 21, 2025 from Al-Husna Mosque at Randublatung Blora Central Java Indonesia. The sky was rainy."

Seen: ICOP member Mr. Hossein Janghorbani from : 40 Kilometer from Shahreza to Semiram road (Gard City in Isfahan State mentioned that the sky was clear, the atmospheric condition was hazy, the crescent was not sought by naked eye, the crescent was seen by binocular, the crescent was not sought by telescope, the crescent was not sought by CCD Imaging

 Location: 40 Kilometer from Shahreza to Semiram road (Gardaneh Khoroosgeloo) (latitude: 31 42 N, longitude: 51 45 E, elevation: 2320m from sea level, time zone: +3.5 GMT) 
Equipments: One Set Of 15×70 Binoculars , One Compass. 
Atmospheric condition: Hazy 
Horizon obstacles: about .5° 
Apparent Sunset: 16:57
Results: The crescent moon was seen at 17:12 , 17:13, 17:14, 17:15, 17:16, 17:17, 17:18, by Mr. Hossein Janghorbani with a  15×70 Binoculars.
Many comets were seen with Binoculars.
A strange object suspected of being a UFO was seen with Binoculars and is being investigated. Mr. Andi Muhammad Akhyar said: "Two KACST officers,two high courts officers and I tried to observe the crescent from the Umm al-Qura Observatory in Makkah (21.368852040719695 N, 39.63121433567138 E)
for two days Thursday - Friday, 20 - 21 of November 2025 (29 and 30 Jumadil Ula 1447 H in Umm al-Qura Calendar)
but both were negative. On 20 of November, moon set before sun set. On 21 of November, horizon is cloudy and hazy by aerosol (AOD=0.335)

Mr.  said: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

تمَّ تحرّي هلال جمادى الآخرة للعام 1447 هجرية مساء الجمعة 21 نوفمبر 2025.
كانت الأجواء غيرَ مُساعدة على الرصد، إذ كانت هناك غيوم في الجهة الغربية. وكان وقت غروب الشمس الظاهري الساعة 5:00، وقبل غروب الشمس بنحو أربع دقائق تقريبًا هبّت رياح ساعدت على انقشاع الجهة العلوية من الأفق الغربي، مما ساعد على رصد الهلال.

وبعد 22 دقيقة من غروب الشمس تمّت رؤية الهلال باستخدام المنظار، ثم بعد خمس دقائق تقريبًا تمت رؤيته بالعين المجرّدة، وتمّ تصويره — ولله الحمد والمنّة.
