The western horizon was hazy yet clear, with small patches of clouds near the horizon. Soon, a couple of friends joined me. My first binocular sighting (7 x 50) was at 6:26 PM. I used Venus as a guide, observing it at 6:07 and 6:08 with binoculars and the naked eye, respectively. Spotting Mercury at 6:26 was very helpful for locating the Moon, as I was aware of their relative positions from the Stellarium software. It took me 11 minutes to spot the Moon with the naked eye, achieving this at 6:37 PM. The horns appeared roughly at 3:00 and 7:30 o'clock positions (3:00, 5:00, 7:30). I stayed at my sighting until moonset (apparent moonset: 7:09 pm; actual moonset: 7:15). At 6:35 pm, the temperature, dew point, relative humidity, and pressure were 51.8 F, 23.7 F, 33%, and 29.81 in, respectively."
